Blake Pouliot
Blake Pouliot’s playing is described as “immaculate, at once refined and impassioned” (ArtsAtlanta). He has established himself as “one of those special talents that comes along once in a lifetime” (Toronto Star).
Pouliot’s spectacular 2022-2023 season includes debuts as well as return performances with many major symphonies, as well as recitals and hall debuts, notably in Boston and at Toronto’s Koerner Hall. He also rounds out this season with the Seattle Chamber Music Society and a return to the National Youth Orchestra of Canada in his second year as Artist-in-Residence. Other recent debuts include the Philadelphia Orchestra and being named Artist-in-Residence at Orchestre Métropolitain under Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
A Juno Award nominee, recipient of a five-star critique from BBC Music Magazine and many career awards and bursaries, Pouliot won Grand Prize at the OSM Competition. He performs on the 1729 Guarneri del Gesù on loan from an anonymous donor.
