Denys Derome is Associate Principal Horn of the OSM. He studied the French horn at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal and with John Zirbel at McGill University. In 1996, he won first prizes at both the National Music Festival and at the OSM Manulife Competition. As a soloist, he has been a guest of the Victoria Symphony, the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal,, and the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony. He has performed in several chamber music recitals broadcast on CBC Radio. Mr. Derome teaches horn at McGill University.
