2024 Tour – Europe – Philharmonic – Berlin
From November 19 to 30, for its 59th international tour, the OSM will visit six countries and perform in eight of Europe’s most prestigious concert halls: London, Luxembourg, Paris, Hamburg, Berlin, Amsterdam, Munich and Vienna!
On this occasion, the 104 musicians of the Orchestra, conducted by Rafael Payare, will be accompanied by internationally renowned soloists: Daniil Trifonov, who is embarking on his 2nd tour with the OSM after a fruitful collaboration in the United States in 2016, and the Spanish pianist Javier Perianes, who will be joining the Orchestra for the opening concert at London’s Barbican. From one concert to the next, the Orchestra will shine with an exceptional programme including Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1, Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor, Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique and Roman Carnival, Richard Strauss’s Alpine Symphony (Eine Alpensinfonie) and Jeder Baum spricht, a work by the Iranian-Canadian composer Iman Habibi. The recently acquired carillon bells will also be part of the trip, marking their first performance outside the walls of the Maison symphonique.
