Ben Palmer

Conductor

Ben Palmer is Chief Conductor of the Deutsche Philharmonie Merck, Babylon Orchester Berlin and Orchestra da Camera di Pordenone, as well as serving as Artistic Director of the Covent Garden Sinfonia. He works regularly with the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra, Arctic Philharmonic, Hallé, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and Royal Scottish National Orchestra. He can often be heard on BBC radio and television conducting the five BBC Orchestras and the BBC Singers. Recent guest conducting engagements include the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Proms, and Rotterdam Philharmonic. Personally authorized by John Williams to conduct his film scores in concert, and acclaimed by Hans Zimmer as “a masterclass in conducting,’’ he is one of the world’s most sought-after specialists in conducting live to picture, with a repertoire of more than 50 films.
