Bal des enfants – An OSM Carnival 2024-2025
Fundraising Event
Join us for a unique concert with Rafael Payare, exploring the orchestra and the captivating world of insects in a fun and fearless way!
A festive event for children aged 5 and up, featuring animations at the Maison symphonique. Don’t miss this fun and musical adventure for a good cause!
The OSM is delighted to present the world premiere of The Carnaval des insectes, a musical work by Quebec composer Maxime Goulet. Designed as a series of short movements, each one highlights an insect and a corresponding orchestra instrument, allowing it to shine as a soloist. Ants, bees, beetles, and many other insects will be brought to life through the timbres of the four orchestral families.
And to complete the festivities, other critters might just join in!
For this Children’s Ball, themed around the Carnival, there’s no need for butterfly nets or fly traps—just open your eyes and ears wide!
