Where do your donations go?
Every contribution to the OSM Bal des enfants helps provide a magical day for disadvantaged or ill children and their families. At the same time, you support the OSM’s educational and accessibility mission, allowing more young people to discover and appreciate classical music.
Your donation allows the OSM to :
Thanks to your generous donation, hundreds of disadvantaged or ill children, as well as their families, have the opportunity to experience the magic of the Bal des enfants for free, immersing themselves in the enchanting world of classical music.
- Each year, 30,000 young people aged 5 to 17 attend the Jeux d’enfants and Matinées scolaires concerts, and your generosity supports access to classical music in schools by providing educational materials, digital concerts, digital workshops, educational resources, video clips, playlists, etc.
- 7 Opus Awards presented by the Quebec Music Council recognizing the quality of the concerts;
- Accessible pricing (from $9 to $12 per student);
- Support for schools to make classical music more accessible (educational materials, turnkey digital concerts, educational resources, video clips, playlists).
Your support contributes to around 10 projects per year in collaboration with community organizations for the most disadvantaged, including children with special needs and refugee families.
- Support for young talent in Quebec and Canada (training, masterclasses, mentorship of amateur artists as part of our summer programming, etc.);
- Concours OSM, since 1940, the largest classical music competition in the country: a high-level competition, mentorship, and career development support for winners, with prestigious international juries and partners.
Your donation helps support a free summer program, including concerts in the parks, an outdoor concert, the festival La Virée classique , and free activities at Place des Arts and on Sainte-Catherine Street.
