Tour of South Korea 2022

From July 5 to 8, 2022, the OSM will tour South Korea, a country the Orchestra previously visited on three occasions in 1989, 1997 and 2008. For its first international tour under the direction of Rafael Payare, the OSM will be joined by the American violinist Hilary Hahn and the young Korean pianist Yekwon Sunwoo. The Orchestra will give two concerts in the capital Seoul, and for the first time, in the cities of Daegu and Tongyeong. Programs on this tour include Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto no. 1 and Piano Concerto no. 3, Mahler’s Symphony no. 5, as well as works by Bartók, Debussy, and Ravel.
