The Unmissable Opening Concert of the Virée Classique Took Place on August 13. This free and festive event brought together thousands of music lovers under the stars, as it does every summer!
Directed by Rafael Payare and hosted by André Robitaille, this great musical event offers a varied and inspiring program, highlighting the 100th birthday of composer Mikis Theodorakis.
It was a memorable evening in a unique atmosphere in the heart of Montreal!
Virée classique OSM – Concerts and Activities Inspired by Nature!
The 2025 edition of the Virée classique OSM celebrated Nature through a rich and diverse indoor concert program!
Iconic works like Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony, Debussy’s La mer, and Holst’s The Planets were featured. Families were delighted by Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Rafael Payare, the OSM, and its choir shared the stage with renowned artists including Martin Helmchen, Marie-Elisabeth Hecker, Beth Taylor, Andrew Wan, Dina Gilbert, and many others. The next generation, OSM Competition winners, and amateur musicians also joined the celebration! And let’s not forget the sixty free activities for the whole family! Creative workshops, musical games, inspiring encounters, outdoor entertainment, and concerts designed for all ages were part of the experience.
